Who is it for?

This level is for those who may be:

• interested in learning about the Breathworks programmes
• wanting to deepen their own mindfulness practices
• interested in using mindfulness-based approaches in their professions to improve the quality of people’s lives
• thinking of becoming a Breathworks trainer and running Breathworks Living Well courses

Residential Week

The peaceful residential setting provides a safe, supportive environment to engage with the course content through presentations, discussion groups and experiential practices. A range of topics and activities will be explored including:

• the principles and practice of mindfulness
• mindfulness-based principles applied to pain and stress management
• the core Breathworks mindfulness meditation practices
• mindfulness in daily life (including breath awareness and pacing)
• mindful movement
• the Breathworks Living Well programmes

Teacher Training Level One (TT1) Outcomes

• Participants will have extended and deepened their understanding and use of mindfulness practices in their own lives
• They will be able to discuss these principles with clients as well as use some of the techniques - a more detailed outcomes list is available on request
• Those wishing to develop skills for delivering these practices to others or become Breathworks trainers can progress to the further levels of Breathworks Teacher Training.
