Breathworks Mindfulness Trainer Mark Bowden (Prajnananda) PDF Print

My interest in practising yoga and meditation goes back over thirty years now. Since then, along the way, I've lived in Buddhist communities, studied theology and Indian religions at university, taught at Buddhist Centres and on retreats in Britain and Europe, and was Director of Bristol Buddhist Centre for five years.  That was tremendously satisfying for me; but I've always felt that mindfulness meditation and movement have the potential to benefit many more people beyond those interested in 'religion' or 'spirituality'.

To put it simply, it's my experience that mindfulness brings more life to life.  And I feel the Breathworks approach brings these practices within the reach of anyone in a straightforward and user-friendly way.

I've recently moved to Plymouth, and – along with my colleague Patricia Geraghty, with whom I co-lead – I'm looking forward to running courses in this area.

As well as training with Breathworks, I have also attended teacher training with the Centre for Mindfulness at the University of North Wales and am currently studying mindfulness-based approaches at the University of Exeter.
