The Breathworks Foundation

Making mindfulness accessible

We are a registered charity, with a mission is to make mindfulness accessible to everyone. Being an organisation that gives back has been important to us from the very beginning. Our Founder Vidyamala was living on benefits for many years before she was able to secure funding through a disability grant to start Breathworks. We know that many who benefit the most from our services are least able to afford it, so we are committed to help those in need through bursaries, scholarships, free resources and other funding initiatives.

Support us today.

Nadia has stretching herself by walking 24 miles and over 5,000 feet ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks not in the day but at night!

The Yorkshire Three Peaks route is 24 miles (38.6km) and includes 1,585m (5,200ft) of total ascent.  It takes in the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, which form part of the Pennine range and encircle the head of the River Ribble valley in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Many people each year complete the circuit in around 12 hours, often during the longest days of the year to allow as much daylight as possible and the best weather conditions.  However, this challenge has a twist and happened on Saturday 3 August completed through the night, with about half the time spent walking in total darkness!!

Nadia Miller is a recently qualified Breathworks teacher, and took on this challenge to raise funds for The Foundation with the morale support of two friends: Helen Sullivan (Breathworks CEO) and Peter Tristram (walks expert extraordinaire).  They had all done the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in the day and now completed it at night too!
