About the Course

On this eight-week Mindfulness for Stress course you will learn mindfulness skills to cope with stress, fear, depression, and anxiety, within a supportive and friendly group setting. The course will also teach you how to boost your happiness and well-being, and find new sources of resilience, joy, and calm in your life.

Who is the Course for?

Over the decades that we've run the course, we've helped thousands of people suffering from stress associated with work, family or relationships, loss, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, chronic generalised anxiety, social anxiety, and those who simply want to boost their resilience, learn mindfulness and meditation, or find greater joy and wellbeing in life.

The course fee includes a handbook and a set of CDs or MP3 files

Concessionary Places

There are a limited number of concessionary places which are available to people in financial hardship. As a guide we suggest this applies to people with an income of less than £17,000 a year. If your annual income is higher than this and would like to discuss your eligibility for a concessionary place for other reasons, please contact us.

Organisation Fee If your employer is paying for you to attend this course, the organisation fee for the course is £360.

We have found that some employers will release people from work to attend our courses, and in some cases will pay for them. If you wish to approach your employer for time off or for funding, we will be happy to provide a letter to verify your course arrangements and attendance and make suitable payment arrangements if required.

Before you book

Once your booking form has been received, the teacher who'll be leading the course (or their co-lead, if there are two teachers) might contact you by phone to discuss any outstanding questions you have and to confirm that the course is right for you. Together, we'll consider whether this is an appropriate course for you at the present time. Taking on a Mindfulness practice can have its challenges and the practices can have negative effects for some people at some times. For all of us, there are times when it's not appropriate to practice Mindfulness; when what we need is a different sort of support or learning. It's possible that the teacher will recommend that you don't take up a place on the course at the present time. You're making big financial and time commitments and we want to make sure they're not wasted on a course that's not right for you.

Breathworks offer these courses as an opportunity to learn Mindfulness in a group setting and apply it in our everyday lives. We do not offer a mental health service and most Breathworks teachers are not qualified to offer psychological therapy.

Please note this course is not for people who are acutely ill, suffer from acute depression or who wish to be passive recipients of support and advice. Nor is it a substitute for professional therapy.
If you need any help with completing the form please contact us.
