This 4-week training course is for accredited Breathworks teachers who want to learn how to adapt Breathworks courses to workplace settings.  

This course is led by experienced mindfulness teacher, coach and facilitator Karen Liebenguth who has worked with clients in including University of London, Deloitte and Contact.

A highly interactive and practical offering, you can expect to learn theory, tools and new practices for workplace settings as well as time and space to refresh your own practice.

In this course we will be exploring the differences between community based Breathworks courses and how to adapt the key concepts and practices to workplace settings.

We will be looking at challenges that companies and organisations face, how to find out which mindfulness interventions would be most helpful and how to develop a tailored introductory session to mindfulness as well as a bespoke mindfulness programmes. 

This course also includes a session exploring some tips as to how to market your mindfulness programmes for workplace settings, your fee structure and the importance of evaluating workplace mindfulness programmes.

Each session will start and end with a practice and inquiry, involves small group work as well as sharing in plenary.

Participants will receive a copy of the slide deck for each session.

Please note this course is capped at 20 participants, once it is full a waitlist will be open for those who wish to join.

Karen is an accredited Breathworks mindfulness teacher and supervisor, accredited executive and life coach, mentor and facilitator. 

She set up Green Space Coaching & Mindfulness in 2008 and offers tailored mindfulness and coaching programmes for the workplace to foster personal and professional development as well as healthy minds and hearts. 

Karen has done further extensive training in adapting mindfulness programmes for workplace settings at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre.

  2. Understand the key differences and similarities between workplace mindfulness programmes and community based 8-week courses
  3. Review key aspects of mindfulness and reconnect with personal practice

Session 2: 24 Oct

2-hour session with a 5-minute break

Theme: Know your client

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand some of the challenges companies face in today’s VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world
  2. Understand that we need to know the client first and why
  3. Learn how to do a pre-briefing with the client to understand their needs

Session 3: 31 Oct

2-hour session with a 5-minute break

Theme: How to adapt Breathworks courses to workplace settings

Learning Objectives:

For participants to:

  1. Learn how to adapt BW courses to workplace settings, ie. how to choose which key concept(s) and practice(s) need to be included in a client programme
  2. Learn some adapted short practices for workplace settings
  3. Learn to choose which practices to guide

 

Session 4: 7 Nov

2-hour session with a 5-minute break

Theme: Marketing, fees, evaluation

Learning Objectives:

For participants to:

  1. Understand some ways of marketing mindfulness programmes for workplace settings
  2. Understand which language to use when talking about mindfulness for workplace settings
  3. Understand fee structures and how to develop them
  4. Understand the importance of pre and post evaluation and its limitations in workplace settings as well as the role of HR / Learning & Development within a workplace setting

To help remove barriers for people in financial hardship, we offer a limited number of concessionary and bursary places on events and courses. We operate our booking system on the basis of self-assessment and trust. Please have a careful read of our eligibility guide below, and contact us if you have any further questions.

Concessionary Rate: applies to individuals with an income of less than £18,500 a year (or less than £24,000 if you live in London). 

Bursary Rate: a limited number of bursary places are reserved for individuals with significant financial barriers that limits them from affording the Concessionary Rate.
