About the retreat

With the growing popularity of mindfulness and compassion many of us are getting a taste of meditation and a wish to practise more intensively, but there are limited opportunities to take our meditation practice deeper in the ideal conditions that a retreat can provide.

This meditation retreat, with both week-long and weekend options, is aimed to fulfil that need, whether your mindfulness training has been in Breathworks, MBSR, MBCT or any other mindfulness-based approach.

It will include the characteristic Breathworks approach of both mindfulness and compassion practices held within an atmosphere of warmth and kindliness.  Kindness practices will be explicitly explored based on loving kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy & equanimity.

This retreat will feature a spacious schedule which will include teaching sessions tohelp you take your meditation deeper, guided meditations, mindful movement sessions, and opportunities for enquiry. Many of us long for periods to quietly deepen the mindfulness and compassion practices we have learned.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to talk to one of the team about your meditation practice if you wish.

Suitable for 

Anybody with a regular mindfulness practice of at approximately a year or longer.

Leaders

Vidyamala Burch and Sona Fricker; two of the  founders of Breathworks . They have both been meditating for decades and love teaching and practising meditation with others. 

Location

Online - we will be conducting this retreat via the online video conference platform Zoom.

We're offering four different pricing options to those wishing to join us, and asking participants to pay the highest sustainable amount that they can, so that we can offer places at a reduced cost to those less able to afford a place.
