About the retreat

Sorry - this event is fully booked

When we stop trying, when we give up defending, thinking, controlling and effort-ing, only then can the brightness of awareness, which is always present and available, be fully known. This silent meditation retreat offers ideal conditions for you to rest deeply and recline into the beauty and balance of awareness as it unfolds moment to moment.
Come and spend 5 days in the company of friends and fellow practitioners, supported by our collective practice and the wild beauty and space of the Scottish landscape. This retreat will include guided and self-led meditation, mindful movement, and walking practice, talks, periods of group inquiry, plenty of silence and of course, poetry.
Still, what I want in my life
is to be willing
to be dazzled—
to cast aside the weight of facts
and maybe even
to float a little
above this difficult world.
I want to believe I am looking
into the white fire of a great mystery.
I want to believe that the imperfections are nothing—
that the light is everything—that it is more than the sum
of each flawed blossom rising and falling. And I do.
