A healthy body is at the top of most new year resolution lists, but what about a clear, expansive mind?

Neuroscience research shows that mindfulness meditation can change the brain. It has been shown to help increase awareness, regulate emotions, reduce levels of stress and even help with decision making.

Guided by experienced mindfulness teacher and coach Karen Liebenguth, you will explore ways that mindfulness practices can set you on a path towards clarity and purpose in 2024.

On this day retreat, you will:

  • Gain greater clarity on what most matters to you so you can enhance your day-to-day experience.
  • Learn to recognise and overcome common habits of the mind that can be limiting.
  • Develop practices for nurturing a healthy, clear and expansive mind.
  • Cultivate a positive mindset that can create more clarity, openness, stillness and belief in your practice.
  • Gain a sense of purpose for the new year.

What will I learn?

The first half of the day will explore common habits of the mind that can set us on a downward spiral. These include attachment, sluggishness, restlessness, anxiety and doubt. We will explore how to recognise limiting habits, and most importantly how to approach them with awareness, kindness and sensitivity.

The second half of the day will look at how you can nurture a positive mindset for clarity about what most matters to you, about your sense of purpose and direction for 2024. You will learn practices of mindfulness that can be antidotes to unhealthy habits and explore ways of creating more openness, clarity, stillness and equanimity in day-to-day life.

Please note, there will be an hour-long introductory check-in on the evening prior to the retreat.

What will the retreat include

The day will consist of:

●      Guided meditations
●      Reflective practices
●      Peer discussion in small and larger groups

Who is This Event For?

  • This retreat is open to all levels of experience, from beginners to experienced meditators.

  • Let friends, family and others know that you are on retreat so that they can respect your retreat environment.
  • Unplug from as many digital distractions as possible.
  • Keep hydrated.
  • If possible, prepare your meals beforehand so that you can relax in the break periods.
  • Wear loose and comfy clothing.
