Terms & Conditions, Cancellation and Refund Policies for Events 

We want all participants to thrive in our programmes and are committed to providing a quality training experience and achieving the highest standards of conduct.

If at any stage you want to raise a concern about the quality of the training delivery or conduct of the team, you can do this in the first instance to the Training Lead or by following the Breathworks complaints procedure here:  For cancellations or postponement, please find details for the type of event you have booked:

1. Group Online Courses - Stress & Health

The entire fee will be refunded if, in discussion with the Breathworks course teacher, you are recommended that the course is not right for at this time.

The following proportion of your fee will be refundable if you cancel your place on the event:

  • Up to 7 days before the event starts you will receive a refund of any course fees paid, less a £35 admin fee.
  • If cancelled within 7 days of the start date we cannot refund any of the fees paid.
  • Up to 7 days before the event starts, you can transfer your booking (and all fees paid) to another comparable event.
  • Refunds will not be given after the course has commenced eg if you decide to leave the course early.

2. Online Retreats

The following proportion of your fee will be refundable if you cancel your place on the event:

  • Up to 7 days before the event starts you will receive a refund of any course fees paid, less a £35 admin fee.
  • If cancelled within 7 days of the start date we cannot refund any of the fees paid.
  • Up to 7 days before the event starts, you can transfer your booking (and all fees paid) to another comparable event.
  • Refunds will not be given after the course has commenced eg if you decide to leave the course early.

3. Going Deeper, Facilitators Training & Teaching Practice Skills Courses

The following proportion of your fee will be refundable if you cancel your place on the event:

  • Up to four weeks before the event you will receive a refund of any course fees paid, less a £35 admin fee.
  • After that and up to the start of the event if a substitute can be found, you will receive a refund of any course fees paid less a £35 admin fee. Unfortunately, if a substitute cannot be found we cannot refund any of the fees paid.
  • Refunds will not be given after the course has commenced eg if you decide to leave the course early.

4. Advanced Teacher Training or Stage 1 or 2 Teacher Training Booked Together 

  • A non-refundable deposit is payable to confirm a place in the programme.
  • Payment is required, in full, 8 weeks before the event start date (unless on a payment plan).
  • If full payment has not been received 6 weeks before the event start date and a prior arrangement has not been agreed with the Training Team, then we reserve the right to cancel the booking which would result in a loss of all fees paid.

We can also offer a payment plan, details below:

Payment plan terms (spread over 4 equal monthly payments):

  • The student will set-up a standing order instruction to pay Breathworks 4 equal/monthly instalments.
  • On receipt by Breathworks of the first monthly instalment, the student can confirm their space on an event.
  • If the standing order is cancelled at any point during the payment plan an alternative means of payment must be arranged promptly. If we do not receive new payment instructions we reserve the right to cancel any bookings which would result in a loss of all fees paid.

The following proportion of your fee will be refundable if you cancel your place:

Up to eight weeks before the start of the event:

  • you can postpone to a later event, subject to paying a £35 admin fee.
  • If you cancel your booking altogether and not transfer to a later event, we will refund any fees paid less the non refundable deposit.

Up to the start of the event:

  • And a substitute can be found, you can postpone to a later event, subject to paying a £35 admin fee.
  • If a substitute cannot be found then unfortunately you would need to pay again to attend the event.

5. Masterclasses

The following proportion of your fee will be refundable if you cancel your place on the event:

  • Up to eight weeks before the event you will receive a refund of any course fees paid, less a £35 admin fee.
  • Up to the start of the event and a substitute can be found, you will receive a refund of any course fees paid less a £35 admin fee. Unfortunately, if a substitute cannot be found we cannot refund any of the fees paid.
  • Refunds will not be given after the course has commenced eg if you decide to leave the course early.

6. Online Drop-Ins & Taster Sessions

The following proportion of your fee will be refundable if you cancel your place on the event:

  • Up to 7 days before the event starts you will receive a refund of any course fees paid.
  • If cancelled within 7 days of the start date we cannot refund any of the fees paid.
  • Up to 7 days before the event starts, you can transfer your booking (and all fees paid) to another comparable event.

7. MBPM Workshop for MBSR/MBCT Teachers 

The following proportion of your fee will be refundable if you cancel your place:

Up to eight weeks before the start of the event:

  • you can postpone to a later event, subject to paying a £35 admin fee.
  • If you cancel your booking altogether and not transfer to a later event, we will refund any fees paid less the non refundable deposit.

Up to the start of the event:

  • And a substitute can be found, you can postpone to a later event, subject to paying a £35 admin fee.
  • If a substitute cannot be found then unfortunately you would need to pay again to attend the event.

Refunds will not be given after the course has commenced eg if you decide you're unable to complete the course.

8. Retreats and Residential Courses

The following proportion of your fee will be refundable if you cancel your place on the event:

  • Up to eight weeks before the event you will receive a refund of any course fees paid, less a £35 admin fee.
  • After that and up to the start of the event and a substitute can be found, you will receive a refund of any course fees paid less a £35 admin fee. Unfortunately, if a substitute cannot be found we cannot refund any of the fees paid.

The following proportion of your fee will be transferable if you transfer to another comparable event:

  • Up to eight weeks before the start of the event, any fees paid can be transferred to a future event.
  • After that and up to the start of the event, if a substitute can be found, any fees paid can be transferred to a future event, less a £35 admin fee.  If a substitute cannot be found, 50% of the fees paid can be transferred to a future event.

Refunds will not be given after the course has commenced eg if you decide to leave the course early.

Insurance

You may consider purchasing insurance for your retreat booking.

9. Conscious Marketing Course

The following proportion of your fee will be refundable if you cancel your place on the event:

  • Up to four weeks before the event you will receive a refund of any course fees paid, less a £35 admin fee.
  • Up to the start of an event and a substitute can be found, you will receive a refund of any course fees paid less a £35 admin fee. Unfortunately, if a substitute cannot be found we cannot refund any of the fees paid.
  • Refunds will not be given after the course has commenced eg if you decide to leave the course early.

10. Mindful Movement Events

The following proportion of your fee will be refundable if you cancel your place on the event:

  • Up to eight weeks before the event you will receive a refund of any course fees paid, less a £35 admin fee.
  • Up to the start of the event and a substitute can be found, you will receive a refund of any course fees paid less a £35 admin fee. Unfortunately, if a substitute cannot be found we cannot refund any of the fees paid.

The following proportion of your fee will be transferable if you transfer to another comparable event:

  • Up to eight weeks before the start of the event, any fees paid can be transferred to a future event.
  • Up to two weeks before the event, in the event that a substitute can be found, any fees paid can be transferred to a future event, less a £35 admin fee.
  • If postponed within two weeks of the start date of an event we cannot transfer any of the fees paid.

Refunds will not be given after the course has commenced eg if you decide to leave the course early.

Insurance

You may consider purchasing insurance for your course booking, and insurance for your travel arrangements.

11. Continuing Professional Development Events

The following proportion of your fee will be refundable if you cancel your place on the event:

  • Up to eight weeks before the event you will receive a refund of any course fees paid, less a £35 admin fee.
  • Up to the start of the event and a substitute can be found, you will receive a refund of any course fees paid less a £35 admin fee. Unfortunately if a substitute cannot be found we cannot refund any of the fees paid.

  • Up to eight weeks before the start of the event, any fees paid can be transferred to a future event.
  • Up to the start of the event, and a substitute can be found, any fees paid can be transferred to a future event, less a £35 admin fee.

12. Shop Purchases Returns & Refund Information

If you are not happy with your purchase, Breathworks Foundation has a "no quibbles" returns policy. Please contact Breathworks within 30 days of purchase by email. It would be very helpful to us if you could send a note with the return stating why you are sending it back.

The product(s) must be returned in re-saleable condition. If you have received the product(s) in a damaged condition please let us know when you contact us if you would like a replacement or a refund.

We will refund the postage for damaged item(s) received by you; for other returns, we ask you to pay for the postage.

13. Donation Refunds - The Breathworks Foundation

If you make an error in your donation please contact us either by email at [email protected], by phone at 0161 834 1110 or by post at 16 – 20 Turner Street, Manchester, M4 1DZ, UK within 14 days and a full refund will be made to you.
