This master class is about understanding the origin of resistance and the difference between being with and working with resistance to a difficult experiences. We will be exploring our habits and tendencies to resist challenging experiences; the things we do to avoid pain and discomfort. We will be discovering three ways of working with unpleasant experiences that allow us to come into a loving relationship with all of our experiences so we can find equilibrium, inner strength (resilience), and foster positive emotion. This master class will consist of some teaching (including revisiting the paradox of mindfulness), the practices of ‘resourcing ourselves’ and compassionate acceptance, reflection in small groups as well as sharing experience in the big group.

Who is this event for?

This masterclass is for mindfulness trainers, teachers, and anyone who has been practicing mindfulness for six months.

Your Masterclass Leader

Karen Liebenguth is an accredited mindfulness teacher, mindfulness supervisor, certified coach and facilitator.

She set up her own business Green Space Coaching & Mindfulness in 2008 to foster personal and professional development, self-leadership and mental resilience.

Karen is an associate and accredited Mindfulness teacher with Breathworks UK and a member of the Association of Coaching. 

She has had her own mindfulness and mediation practice for 13 yeas and most cares about helping people shift and broaden their perspective on life through coming into a more loving relationship with themselves.

Karen is a member of and follows the Good Practice Guidelines set out by the British Association for Mindfulness Based Approaches (BAMBA).
