Strengthen the mind-body connection through getting into a felt sense of the body. Explore ways to bring mindfulness into daily life through changing your relationship with movement. Learn to move with the breath rather than holding the breath against movement. Reflect on you own learning experience and relationship with movement. who is this for? The Mindful Movement workshop is primarily for trainees on the Breathworks Teacher Training Pathway who are learning to teach the system to students. However, it is also suitable and open to individuals who want to spend time experiencing the benefits of Mindful Movement. Movements are suitable and adaptable for those with pain and limited mobility. what's included Workshop overview and orientation information. Videos, handouts and other resources. Guidance for the reflective assignments that you'll be doing. Additional learning resources and links. Group reflective space where you will be able to share assignments, reflections and experiences with your fellow workshop participants and trainer during the event. Event Details The Mindful Movement online workshop is held across three parts with one online workshop day, a 3 week period of self-study and a closing online plenary session. Steve has worked in both the private and public sector as a Personal Development Coach, and also as a Couples Counsellor for Relate. He spent many years as a professional Yacht Skipper and RYA Sailing Instructor before training as a Mindfulness Teacher. He is a core Teacher Trainer for Breathworks, Teacher and Supervisor. He delivers both ‘Mindfulness for Health’ and ‘Mindfulness for Stress’ programmes and is a qualified Mindfulness in Schools teacher for young people. Steve has lived experience of managing an ongoing chronic pain condition, and uses the techniques he teaches on a daily basis to help manage pain and daily life. When he’s not working Steve enjoys walking in the New Forest and along the South Coast, playing with his water colour paints and making music with one of his many guitars.
