Mindfulness is about opening to experience as it unfolds, what better way to do this than being emersed in nature. When we are in nature the senses come alive- the touch of the wind on the face, the rich damp smell of the woodland floor, the blaze of colour from a sunset, the sound of bird song and the taste of fresh air on the tongue. Nature makes being present easier- you could say nature does most of the work for us, all we need to do is be receptive and relax into Mother Nature’s arms.

In this special event we will explore the 5 pathways to nature connection; senses, beauty, emotion, compassion, meaning and beauty (University of Derby, Centre for Nature Connectedness) and how mindfulness can support us to engage more fully when out in nature.

Claire will lead you through nature-inspired mindfulness and meditation practices and activities which you can use for yourself or with groups. We will also delve into the A-Z of Mindfulness and Nature Connection and find more ways to bring awareness to nature.
