The Breathworks Foundation

Making mindfulness accessible

We are a registered charity, with a mission is to make mindfulness accessible to everyone. Being an organisation that gives back has been important to us from the very beginning. Our Founder Vidyamala was living on benefits for many years before she was able to secure funding through a disability grant to start Breathworks. We know that many who benefit the most from our services are least able to afford it, so we are committed to help those in need through bursaries, scholarships, free resources and other funding initiatives.

Support us today.

With the support of my lovely friends, Helen and Peter, I completed my challenge of taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks at night. What a fun and eventful evening that was, getting stopped by the police to check if we were ok, (not at all because we looked strange walking around in the middle of the night!), flocks of moths being attracted to the light shining from our head torch that it was a challenge in itself to not eat them and I seemed to struggle with the technicalities of opening gates along the way which kept Helen and Peter amused.

On a serious note, although this was a physically demanding challenge it has truly impacted me mentally too. Overcoming this obstacle has made me see that I can overcome more obstacles in life, helping me to keep growing, becoming. I think it was due to sense of feeling all those things that we teach in mindfulness; moment by moment awareness, curiosity, openness, kindness and connection. It has been a painfully beautiful realisation as I like to say, which is a reflection of mindfulness for me really.

Due to such kind donations, I was able to raise £560 for The Breathworks Foundation which is just heartfelt. It's beautiful to know that this will help other human beings like me, access the transformational courses and support personal growth too.

Thank you to all those that supported me, I am deeply grateful.
