Our courses teach a variety of well-researched and up-to-date techniques, yet the core of our approach is remarkably simple and timeless.

You’ll learn how to:

  • breathe better
  • feel more relaxed
  • manage your thoughts and feelings
  • move more mindfully
  • accept difficulties with grace and kindness
  • feel empowered to change things within your control
  • appreciate the good things in life
  • improve your relationships
  • manage your activities
  • live with choice rather than feel a victim of circumstance

We use the Be AWARE acronym to describe the process of change on Breathworks programmes.

What we offer

Our ‘gold standard’ 8-week mindfulness courses are Mindfulness for Health (Mindfulness-based Pain Management (MBPM) & Mindfulness for Stress. These are available in a range of formats from self-guided book-based courses right through to 1-2-1 mentoring.

We also offer bespoke Mindfulness in the Workplace programmes offering taster sessions, courses, and ongoing support for a large number of workplaces and organisations. This leads to increased resilience, improved decision-making and communication, and numerous other long-term gains to counter work stress, burnout, absenteeism, and workplace mental health issues.

We are a creative and evolving organisation and continually seek new ways to communicate our message. We work with a range of partners using digital and other technologies.

Our Teacher Training Programme is widely regarded as one of the most thorough and in-depth available. Breathworks is a founding member of the UK Network of Mindfulness-Based Teacher Training Organisations/BAMBA.

We value community and have hundreds of accredited teachers working in over 35 countries globally, all helping to spread the Breathworks mission and approach.

The Breathworks approach is grounded in compassionate awareness, with a gentle, gradual transformation of our relationship to all our life experiences, including our pain or difficulty. We invite everyone engaging with Breathworks practices and courses to take care of their own well-being as fundamental to our approach. If you suffer from physical, emotional or mental health conditions, please take care not to push yourself past your own safe boundaries when following guidance in Breathworks practices. Please remember that you are always the best person to know what is right for you:

  • don’t persist with any practice that is triggering difficult experiences that feel too much or harmful for you
  • adapt practice guidance in a way that you feel most comfortable with
  • speak to your mindfulness teacher or health practitioner if in any doubt
