About Teaching Skills Teaching Skills is part of the Breathworks Teacher Training Pathway. The online training module is designed to develop your skills as a mindfulness teacher and give you the confidence to share your knowledge with others. WHO THIS IS FOR Individuals on our Teacher Training Pathway to becoming Breathworks Teachers. Current mindfulness teachers (Breathworks or others) looking to refresh their skills. Individuals who have taken our Champions Training looking to further develop their teaching knowledge and confidence leading sessions. Certified Mindfulness Facilitators (with Breathworks) who would like to build on their knowledge and confidence leading sessions. What will I learn? On this module, you will: Learn foundational elements for the full Breathworks Mindfulness Teacher Training. Learn approaches to adult learning. Learn how to manage group dynamics comfortably. Explore Breathworks teaching competencies and why they are important to maintaining good practice conduct. Learn about the importance of respecting equality, diversity and inclusion in teaching. Learn how to support people to reflect on their own meditation practice. Learn how to support learning through enactments. Learn an approach to reflective enquiry through a mix of engaging group activities and invitations to reflect on our own learning experiences. After the module has ended you will have unlimited access to the materials. training OVERVIEW The training module consists of online group sessions and self-study across 3 weeks. You will receive input from one or more of our experienced trainers, where you will explore various subjects relating to the development of mindfulness teaching skills, together with a self-study element and assignment to complete in Weeks 1 and 2. This module can be taken at any point in Stage One of your pathway. Sessions will be on Zoom. Benefit from an opportunity to reflect on your learning with one of our personal training mentors. Watch learning videos. Complete a reflective assignment. Take part in engaging group activities. Engage with fellow training participants in the Reflection Space. You will engage with approximately 2 hours of self-study per week in your own time during Weeks 1 and 2.
