About Mindfulness Facilitator

This training will equip you to guide simple and powerful mindfulness practices within an easy-to-use framework, learn to create your own sessions and simple courses based on Breathworks templates.

Is mindfulness facilitator training for me?

Perhaps you are a therapist, counsellor or healthcare practitioner and you want to elevate your holistic care through bringing mindfulness to your clients.

Or maybe you want to help your team at work to manage their stress and burnout, and improve focus. Perhaps you’d love to share mindfulness with people in your community (or your family and friends) to support them in their day-to-day lives.

Or you might be someone who is not yet ready to commit to a full Teacher Training, and wants to explore what it might be like to teach and pass life-changing skills to others.

If any of these sounds like you, our Mindfulness Facilitator is the training is for you.


What will I learn?

This training consists of two modules: Mindfulness Facilitator A & B.

Across both modules you will:people learning to facilitate Mindfulness

  • Learn to guide simple and powerful practices and facilitate mindfulness sessions to transform stress, anxiety and pain.

  • Learn to lead meditations with confidence in your own authentic way.

  • Gain a Mindfulness Facilitator certification from a globally recognised training provider which has been training people in mindfulness since 2005.

  • Build confidence and skills in sharing the Breathworks approach to mindfulness and compassion.

  • Deepen your knowledge of the Breathworks approach to mindfulness and compassion and your own personal engagement with it in your practice.

  • Learn from an evidence-based approach, and a teaching style that is practical and accessible.

  • Learn to embody mindfulness in your teaching and work that you do.

  • Gain from a learning community of fellow trainees around the world.


WHO THIS IS FOR

  • You want a certification that allows you to facilitate simple and short mindfulness, sessions and practices.

  • You want to experience the rewards of sharing mindfulness with others, with the possibility of exploring a full Teacher Training in the future. 


WHAT’S INCLUDED 

Our two modules, Mindfulness Facilitator A & B, consist of: 

  • Live group sessions.

  • Self-study.

  • Support and feedback from an experienced Trainer.

  • Experience facilitating mindfulness sessions in a supportive environment.

  • Lifetime access to learning resources, meditations and videos.

  • A learning community of fellow trainees from around the world.

Mindfulness Facilitators is a course for life. After your course has ended you will have unlimited access to the materials. And you can even choose to take your learning forward as you will have completed a key module of our full Breathworks Teacher Training.


COURSE OVERVIEW

The Training consists of two modules: Mindfulness Facilitator A and Mindfulness Facilitator B. 

On completion, you will gain a Mindfulness Facilitator certification to add to your skillset, you will also have the opportunity to take things further should you wish to broaden out your learning and take our BAMBA-approved Breathworks Teacher Training.

We offer bursaries and concessionary rates if you are financially strained, and payment can be spaced out with each module paid separately. See our fees and funding for more.


Mindfulness Facilitator AVidyamala teaching

Mindfulness Facilitator A gives you the foundations for your learning and an introduction to the Breathworks approach to mindfulness and compassion. Establish your knowledge and understanding of mindfulness and compassion, with a view to sharing it with others. This 7-week course runs in an online format and consists of one live online session and self-study.

Prerequisites

We ask that you have completed an 8-week Breathworks mindfulness course (Health or Stress) and have an established mindfulness practice of at least 2 months.


What you will learn

  • Get to know the Breathworks six-stage process which will underpins all of the teaching you will go on to do.

  • Familiarise yourself with six mindfulness mini-modules that you can go on to use with clients, patients, colleagues, family and friends.

  • Each mini-module contains a simple mindfulness practice, a key idea, and an invitation to explore a mindfulness in daily life practice.

  • Mini-modules can be used as free-standing short sessions or combined for longer sessions or a mini-course.

  • Receive guidance on leading meditations and practise leading your own.

HOW YOU WILL TAKE PART

During the module, you will take part by:

  • Joining one live online introductory group session led by an experienced Breathworks trainer. This will be held on Zoom.

  • Having an opportunity to reflect on your learning with one of our personal training mentors.

  • Watching training videos and reading handouts as part of your self-study.

  • Completing one brief reflective assignment per week.

  • Practising guiding short meditations and sharing reflections on how you get on.

  • Engaging in discussion and sharing in the course reflection space.

All of the above self-study (videos, handouts, assignments, guiding meditations and group discussion) can be done in your own time and will take approximately 3 hours per week.

  • Group reflective space where you will be able to share assignments, reflections and experiences with your fellow trainees and trainer.

Content for Mindfulness Facilitator A will be available on our online learning platform, so you can access it at any time, from any time zone.

Once you’ve completed Mindfulness Facilitator A, you’ll be ready to go on to our Mindfulness Facilitator B module where you will take your learning deeper, and practise facilitating the materials introduced in this module.

Mindfulness Facilitator B 

On the Mindfulness Facilitator B module you will deepen your meditation practice, develop facilitation skills, and practise delivering short mindfulness sessions. It can be taken online or in-person, and consists of group sessions with input from our experienced trainers. 

Prerequisites 

You must take Mindfulness Facilitator A before moving onto Mindfulness Facilitator B


What you will learn:

  • Take your learning deeper and build on knowledge and skills gained in Mindfulness Facilitator A.

  • Learn to facilitate the six mindfulness mini-modules which can be use to create your own sessions and courses.

  • Learn how to facilitate group reflection.

  • Learn how to use enactments to illustrate learning.

As part of a supportive learning community, trainees will take it in turns to facilitate a mini-module and contribute in reflections with the group. This process is guided by your trainer and is designed to help you deepen your learning and build your confidence as a Mindfulness Facilitator, embodying mindfulness as you do so.

As this module is fully experiential, there are no written reflections or assignments. Your learning is experienced during your interactive live sessions where you, your fellow trainees and your trainer will come together to create a vibrant, supportive learning community that enables you to take your learning deep, and to learn from one another.

Mindfulness Facilitator B: Online Format

Take part in eight live online group sessions, led by an experienced Breathworks Trainer, across 4 weeks. These sessions will be help on Zoom

Once you have completed both Mindfulness Facilitator A and B modules you will be certified with a Breathworks Mindfulness Facilitator certification.
