💻 Format: 2-hour Online event
🙋‍♀ Suitable For: All experience levels, including those new to mindfulness

Overview

Neuroscientist Dr Amishi Jha joins Breathworks founder Vidyamala Burch for a warm, practical conversation about attention: how it works, why it gets depleted, and how mindfulness can help us train it. Includes two guided practices and a live Q&A.

What You'll Gain

  • An introduction to Amishi's three systems of attention: the torch (focus), the floodlight (broad awareness) and the juggler (staying on track with your goals)

  • The meditation “sweet spot”: The research behind why 12 minutes of daily practice appears to make a measurable difference to attention

  • Two guided practices: a torch practice using the breath to build focused attention, and a floodlight practice exploring open, spacious awareness of the whole body.

  • A walk-through of Breathworks' own Be AWARE model, and how it connects with Amishi's research

  • A Q&A between two experienced practitioners, including a discussion of how Amishi's programme and Breathworks' approach compare

Is This Event For Me?
