Breathworks gives you the tools to manage pain, illness and stress so you can live a fuller life. Our internationally recognised approach was developed by Vidyamala Burch through her own lived experience of pain. Today, she has received an OBE for her work, and Breathworks has reached over 100,000 people through courses, trainings, retreats and programmes for the workplace. As a registered charity, our mission is to make mindfulness accessible through funding and bursary support.

The Breathworks Foundation

Our goal is to make mindfulness accessible to everyone. A third of places on our courses and teacher training are subsidised by our charity, and we also develop partnerships to make mindfulness accessible to the wider community.

The Breathworks Approach 

At Breathworks, we teach a dual approach to mindfulness, covering Mindfulness for Health and Mindfulness for Stress. We are the only provider teaching Mindfulness-based Pain & Illness Management, which is developed from pain research, tried and tested programmes, and lived experience of chronic pain. Our programmes are backed by clinical experience and we are recognised by NHS Trusts and the British Pain Society. In 2022, our Founder was awarded an OBE for her services to wellbeing & pain management.
