About Going Deeper Going Deeper is a practical course that offers you a supportive framework to take the next step towards becoming an insightful mindfulness practitioner and experienced meditator. Is this for me? If you have recently completed a mindfulness course, you might be eager to learn more and discover deeper benefits of the practice. Or perhaps you meditate regularly, and you sense you could take things further but you don’t know how. You might even have considered taking a Teacher Training to learn more, but you are not yet sure if going on to teach is for you. We have designed this course for you! What will I learn? On this course, you will: Learn more about mindfulness and deepen your understanding with the support of a Breathworks mentor. Strengthen and go further with your meditation practice. Gain insight into your experience and how to develop embodied awareness. Embed further skills of mindfulness and compassion in your daily life. Learn skills of reflection and self-enquiry that you can take forward into all aspects of life. Identify challenges in your practice and areas of difficulty to resolve WHAT’S INCLUDED Designed to be flexible and offer deep learning, the course consists of: One-to-one mentorship from a Breathworks Trainer. Meditation guidance and daily reflective diaries. Lifetime access to learning resources, meditations and videos. A learning community of like-minded others from around the world. Going Deeper is a course for life. After your course has ended you will have unlimited access to the materials. You can even choose to take your learning forward to share the benefits of mindfulness with others as you will have completed one of the key modules that makes up our Teacher Training and Mindfulness Facilitator Training. Prerequisites We ask that you have either: Taken a 8-week mindfulness course with Breathworks or another mindfulness provider OR Have an established meditation practice To get the most out of Going Deeper, we recommend taking one of our 8-week Mindfulness for Health or Stress courses first which establish the foundations for learning mindfulness. COURSE OVERVIEW At the heart of the course is an opportunity to further explore the Breathworks approach to mindfulness and compassion. You will do this through a period of practice based on the Mindfulness for Health meditations. These practices offer something for all, so you will gain something even if you don’t have a health condition. In the first half of the course, you will: Meditate daily and keep a reflective journal to access deeper insight into your experience. Share reflections with your Personal Mentor, who will support you to gain insights into aspects of your practise and challenges. In the second half of the course, you will: Work with your mentor to identify areas of your mindfulness and meditation practice that you'd like to explore more deeply. Work with guidance on how you can experiment further to find what really works for you. During the course, you will: Take part in two live online group sessions led by an experienced Breathworks Trainer at the start and end of the course. These are held on Zoom. Meet with your personal mentor for one-to-one online sessions (up to 2 hours in total). Meditate daily with guided Going Deeper meditations. Complete a reflective meditation diary daily. Watch educational videos to guide your self-study. Engage in sharing with other course participants in the course Reflection Space. Self-study will be approximately 4 - 5 hours of your own time per week. This includes mentor meet-ups, daily meditations, diary entries, educational videos and sharing with course participants.
