Mindfulness for Health is an 8-week course that helps you better manage your pain and illness so you can live a fuller life.

The course is suitable for complete beginners, all the way through to experienced meditators.

The course has been developed from pain research, an evidence-base and real, lived experience of managing a chronic condition, however the approach can be used for any level or experience of pain, illness and fatigue, whether intermittent or chronic. Mindfulness for Health has shown effectiveness in managing symptoms of muscular pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, M.E, long COVID and migraines among others.

Our mission is to make mindfulness accessible to everyone, if you are experiencing financial challenges we offer places on a pay-what-you-can basis, see our Pricing Rates for more.

"I continue practicing meditation daily. Breathworks online course helped me tremendously when recovering from illness and accompanying anxiety. Firstly, it has calmed me down during the meditation, and I could always go back to even 5 minutes of meditation. Also, through the course I have discovered self-compassion, which was needed during my recovery. Thank you again for the opportunity to participate in the course".

Your Teacher

This course will be led by experienced Breathworks Associate Emma Tian Williamson.

Emma is a qualified mindfulness, yoga and qigong teacher with a fascination for how we can transform our experiences through awareness.

She was drawn to mindfulness after burning out from stress while working in Hong Kong, which became a catalyst for her to explore paths to find more balance and peace.

Her style of teaching infuses her interests and background in somatic movement and compassion training. Alongside teaching courses and workshops for Breathworks, she teaches at the West London Buddhist Centre, in corporate and workplace settings. Past clients include The Department of Health & Social Care, Kings College London and Sheffield Haworth.

She is a volunteer at St Joseph's Hospice where she teaches weekly and one to one sessions for patients and carers.

For her, mindfulness is an ‘antidote for modern life’. What she loves most about teaching is passing on the tools that have helped her to live a more balanced, resilient and happy life.

She enjoys keeping herself sustained by travel, books, podcasts and getting out into nature.
