Exhaustion, lack of focus and detachment from life are a few of the early signs of burnout

Burnout is on the rise, with as many as 20% of people in the UK needing to take time off work in the past year due to poor mental health.

Once you hit burnout, it becomes much harder to bring yourself back to a more balanced physical and mental state. Mindfulness can help you to become aware of your own burnout characteristics, and also develop and implement strategies to avoid you spiralling into exhaustion.

In this 2-hour workshop you learn how to use mindfulness and compassion to manage stress and live life on a more even keel. This practical workshop will teach you how to create your own toolkit for avoiding burnout, introduce pacing into your daily life and use transformative skills of self-compassion to guide your wellbeing.

Expertly guided by Debbie, a Breathworks Associate, Senior Clinical Scientist in the NHS and a lecturer at the University of Manchester, you will explore what living well means to you in experiential ways.

Learning will involve a mixture of:

  • Self-reflection
  • Meditation
  • Group discussion
  • Creating your toolkit of mindfulness, self-compassion and pacing

What you will learn

  • An understanding of what burnout is
  • An experiential introduction to mindfulness, self-compassion and pacing techniques to help avoid burnout
  • Time to reflect on whether these techniques may be useful for you and how to incorporate into your life

who this is for

Suitable for all levels of mindfulness and meditation experience.
