The Mindfulness Facilitator Conversion Training is for anyone who has completed the Breathworks Introductory Teacher Training (TTi) who would like to convert that training to become a Breathworks Mindfulness Facilitator. This Training is also for you if you are a Breathworks Teacher looking to expand your teaching content with new input.

What is a Mindfulness Facilitator?

Usually taught across two parts, the Mindfulness Facilitator Training teaches you to lead six mini mindfulness sessions based on the Breathworks approach.

The Mindfulness Facilitator Training is ideal if you are looking to incorporate mindfulness into your work, whether you are a therapist, counsellor, medical professional, or simply looking to help your team at work, or your friends and family with mindfulness. The main difference between our Facilitator Training and full Breathworks Teacher Training is the latter gives you a fuller breadth of learning to teach longer courses and more in-depth sessions drawing from the Breathworks Mindfulness for Stress and Mindfulness for Health approach.

What will I learn?

On this day-long, online Mindfulness Facilitator Conversion Training, you will learn how to guide six mini mindfulness sessions which have been designed to be adaptable for a variety of settings; they can be used as free-standing sessions or combined in different ways to create your own mindfulness classes or workshops. As well as covering new content and resources, you will practice facilitating in groups and receive teaching support from Breathworks’ Head of Training.

On completion, you will receive a Mindfulness Facilitator certification. Should you wish to go on to complete your Breathworks Teacher Training to deepen your teaching knowledge and skills you are free to do so.

Who is this event for?

  • Individuals who have completed their Introductory Teacher Training with Breathworks.
  • Qualified and accredited Breathworks Teachers. Please note that all accredited teachers will receive Facilitator Teaching Notes in our early 2024 curriculum update. The training counts as a CPD so is eligible for the accredited Breathworks Teachers discount.

  • Learn how to teach six new mindfulness mini modules based on the Breathworks approach.
  • Practise facilitating and leading meditation and mindfulness sessions.

Your Trainer

Ginny Wall

Ginny is an experienced mindfulness teacher and Breathworks’ Head of Training. With over twenty years of teaching experience, her background spans teaching, retreat leading, writing, youth work and educational programme development. She enjoys working in contexts as varied as community centres, workplaces, festivals, schools, homes and faith communities.

She came across the Breathworks Mindfulness for Health course after going through a period of emotional pain and anxiety due to family circumstances, and found the approach, in particular its combined emphasis on awareness and compassion, to be transformational. It proved to be a real turning point in her practice and life more generally, and she now regularly teaches Mindfulness for Health and Mindfulness for Stress to individuals and groups.
